The Sweet Briar Promise outlines our distinctive approach for providing meaningful, enduring education for women. It includes:

The juniors adopt the first-years as little sisters, introducing them to life at Sweet Briar.

The first-years and the sophomores are rival classes. They compete agains each other in Step Singing and the paint-flinging Hitching Post Fight.

Students order their class ring in the fall semester of their junior year and receive it at the Junior Banquet in the spring.

Class mottos, colors and symbols rotate every four years.
